1.Botanic Gardens
Just 5 stops away from Beauty World station (5 mins walk from Gohing Home) is the Botanic Gardens. The Singapore Botanic Gardens is a 158 years old tropical garden situated at the fringe of Singapore’s main shopping belt, Orchard road. It is a lush sanctuary in the heart of the city. The Botanic gardens hosts some very interesting gigs/ concerts and events during certain time of the year. Check out some of the events at their page here. With huge sitting areas surrounded by lush greenery, the Botanic gardens makes a wonderful place for a nice picnic with friends and loved ones. Plan your next trip at the Botanic gardens with a game of Frisbee and picnic lunch!
2. Bukit Timah Nature Reserve
For those who prefer to stay connected with nature, plan your weekend morning at the nearby Bukit Timah Nature Reserve! Home for over 840 species of plants and 500 species of fauna, it is also Singapore’s tallest hill, standing at an altitude of 163.63 metres! It is one of the largest patches of primary rainforest in Singapore. Push yourself to the limits as you make your climb on Singapore’s tallest hill that brings you through pockets of dipterocarp forest, tropical plants and animals. You might even catch some adorable monkeys on your way up the hill! Not far from the hiking trails, you can see the spectacular, serene and tranquil view of the quarry.
3. The Bukit Timah Community Centre (CC)
Just 5 mins walk from our Homestay is the Bukit Timah Community Centre. Community Clubs are built as common spaces in Singapore for people of all races to congregate together, build friendships and promote social bonding. At the Bukit Timah CC, you can participate in many activities including a game of badminton, basketball and karaoke session. Newly constructed last month, KStar Karaoke is one of the cheapest and newest karaoke room in Singapore! The room is cosy and offers many wonderful hits, ranging from English, Mandarin, Korean to even Indonesian and Thai songs! Hit the CCs any time of the day to experience the close-kniited and friendly camaraderie our community offers!

From the Beauty world station near our Homestay, the direct train ride takes you only 15 – 30mins to reach Little India and China Town stations! Visit some of the temples and museums whilst there!
